WALNUT CREEK, Calif- To conclude another stellar 2009-2010 season by all 13 intercollegiate teams at Sonoma State University, 49 student-athletes were honored by the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) for their outstanding efforts, not only in competition, but in the classroom as well.

Sonoma State received the third-highest number of student-athletes to be honored by the conference this season, despite having only 10 sports sponsored by the CCAA.

All in all, 58 student-athletes at SSU exceeded the CCAA’s grade point average standards, nine of which compete on a team (men's tennis, women's water polo and women's golf) that is not a conference member.

In order to earn All-Academic status, a student-athletes must maintain a grade point average of 3.4 or higher over a course load of at least 24 units. They also must be a letter winner on one of the Seawolves' 13 intercollegiate athletic teams.
