BOYS
No. 1 Cardinal Newman (26-2) (Last Week No. 1)…Two close calls, not only get the No. 1 here, but a No. 1 seed in Division 4.
No. 2 Montgomery (18-10) (2)…Who knows what would happen if they met Cardinal Newman again. Instead of NCS, let’s have a four of seven between these two teams. It didn’t hurt the seeding in the NCS playoffs.
No. 3 Piner (20-6) (5)…Two of three over Elsie Allen gives a nice jump here, had little effect on the NCS travel schedule.
No. 4 Elsie Allen (22-6) (3)… Who knows what would happen if they met Piner again. Instead of NCS, let’s have a four of seven between these two teams. They did get the home playoff game.
No. 5 Casa Grande (17-10) (4)…Limped home with a three game losing streak. If they can get win, would probably get another shot at Montgomery.
No. 6 Cloverdale (20-5) (6)…Finished off NCL I championship. One of the losses was to Fortuna, who they meet in Round One.
No. 7 Windsor (15-11) (7)…Probably wondering how the Cardinal Newman game got away. Probably didn’t change seeding much.
No. 8 Willits (20-6) (8)…Hits the twenty win mark for third straight season. In those three years is 66-15.
No. 9 Kelseyville (18-7) (NR)…Split with Willits and finished in second place tie with them in NCL I.
No. 10 Roseland University Prep (10)…Back to back twenty win seasons and NCL II titles. The reward is a trip to Cardinal Newman.
