The only close game was Mt. Eden taking a 70-56 win over Santa Rosa.  The difference was a 23-12 second quarter.
As far as the other games go, they were all at least an 18 point deficits by halftime.
The leading scorer on the evening was Jason Holman of Las Lomas who scored 26 points in the opening game, 73-26 win over Healdsburg.
Las Lomas is 8-3 on the season and will finish the second day against Cardinal Newman who moved to 9-0.

This tournament took a hit with not only the host team losing, but all the local teams failed to make the winner bracket.
One of the biggest surprises of the season is  McKinleyville beating Windsor 78-55.  McKinleyville is a Division 4 school who went into the game with a 3-6 record and had lost four straight.
The opening game between Analy and Maria Carrillo is usually between two teams that would be ranked in the top ten in YSN365.com rankings. Neither are there and have a combined record of 4-14.
The first semi-final game between Dublin and Palo Alto looks like a good one.  The two teams are a combined 15-5.

TORREY PINES HOLIDAY CLASSIC
St. Augustine 50 No. 2 Montgomery 35
Montgomery has lost two of three in the tournament and is now 5-4 on the season. This would count as a good loss when thinking playoffs. St. Augustine is a Division 1 school from San Diego and is 10-3 on the season.
Montgomery wraps up the tournament against Lynwood at 2:30.  This might be big come playoff picking time too. Lynwood is a Division 2 team and is 10-4 on the season.
