The high school baseball season is underway and the Petaluma Baseball team is playing for a cause.
As most of you have heard by now, Bradley Smith, a member of the Petaluma All Star team that went to the 2012 Little League World Series, was injured in an ATV accident. The latest word is he is still in the Intensive Care Unit at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, with several injuries including a broken neck vertebra.
The Petaluma Baseball team is using two home games this week to help the Smith family.
On Wednesday (the 4th), when they host Casa Grande, they will be doing a 50/50 raffle. Then on Saturday (the 7th) they host a JV/Varsity doubleheader against Arroyo. The JV game starts at 10, the Varsity at 1.
Besides the drawing for the 50/50 raffle, the will be a Barbeque, a raffle and they will be taking donations all day. The prizes for the raffle are being collected.
