It will be a clash of Cross town rivals in the District 35, 10-12 All Star Winner’s Bracket Final Friday in Petaluma. Petaluma Valley and Petaluma National, both took different routes to get to where they are, while both benefitted from having a first round bye.
Petaluma Valley, steamrolled through their first games. They beat Sebastopol 11-1 on Sunday, and defeated Ukiah 192 on Wednesday. They have used the big bats of Dante Antonini, Jake Lannert, Antonio Bernnardini, and Jaden Julian, each hitting homers in their first two games. Aidan Lombardi and Jake Lannert have led the way on the mound, allowing just 3 runs in those games.
Petaluma National had a tough battle in their first game against Rincon Valley. It was a back and forth battle, with Rincon Valley leading, then National, and on and on. Finally with Rincon Valley leading by a run in the top of the 6th, Devanaux Sagaral hit a go ahead 3 run home run to give the Nationals a 15-13 lead, and they would later hold. They would then dispatch Westside 9-1, beating a team who had scored 54 runs in their first two games.
Should be a great showdown game in Petaluma at Carter Field. (Below Petaluma Junior High School). First pitch is scheduled for 5:30. YSN365.com will be there to provide video highlights presented by Oil Stop.
