Over the past week and a half, the community has been devastated by the events that have occurred. However, this Friday night, high school football is back for your enjoyment. It has been a crazy week with many scheduling changes and games being moved and teams that have decided not to play, it is a mess that I will try my best to sort out for you.
What I know for sure:
FRIDAY NIGHT (All games are at 7:30pm) *Projections are from calpreps.com*
Analy @ Healdsburg (PROJECTION Analy 44 Healdsburg 3)
Petaluma @ El Molino (PROJECTION Petaluma 40 El Molino 31)
Terra Linda @ Casa Grande (PROJECTION Terra Linda 35  Casa Grande 19)

This should be a great way for people in all of the communities to get away and go watch student athletes compete for a few hours. This is also great for the players and schools to get back out on the field and try and get back to normalcy. El Molino is 2-0 and Petaluma is 2-1. If Petaluma gets the win, they’ll be tied for second with the Lions. If El Molino wins, they’ll be 3-0 heading into their showdown with Analy. Analy will try to get back into their groove on the road at Healdsburg. Casa Grande will be looking for their first win against a tough Terra Linda team, which played Petaluma right down to the wire in September.
Teams not playing this week (TENTATIVE-As of now, these teams do not have games)
Windsor, Montgomery, Piner, Sonoma Valley, Elsie Allen, Santa Rosa, Maria Carrillo and Ukiah
These teams currently do not have a game scheduled for this week. This could change at any moment though, and we will update that of that occurs. These teams can pick up games against each other, or anyone else, but will not count towards league standings. In other words, it will be a non-league game.
MONDAY NIGHT (Oct 23)
Cardinal Newman @ Rancho Cotate, 7:30pm (PROJECTION Rancho Cotate 40 Cardinal Newman 31)
Welp, this was a shocker, but nonetheless, it is another game for the players to play, even if it is a non league game. Cardinal Newman will be back on the field and will have a chance to make a statement as this will count for NCS seedings. These two teams will play again for the NBL Championship on November 4th.
Support the kids….
This has been no doubt an unprecedented time in our area. If you are able, head out to one of these games and show support for our schools in our community that bring us joy on Friday nights.
