Both league races heat up as we head into the final 3 games of the regular season. Playoff contending teams will make their final cases to the seeding committee on why they should be in the playoffs.
Ukiah will travel to Maria Carrillo to battle the Pumas. Brett Hofsetter has had a good year for the Wildcats. He’s been throwing for about 160 yards per game. Ukiah, according to the MaxPreps rankings, sits at number 6 seed in the D2 playoffs. Maria Carrillo sits at number 10. This game could potentially have big playoff implications when it comes time for the seeding meeting on November 6.
North Bay League
Cardinal Newman looks to keep rolling at home vs Windsor. Jordan Brookshire has been on point with Damian Wallace and that connection could get stronger this week.
Casa Grande comes off a most historic comeback after they beat Carrillo 36-33 in OT. They’ll look to Carry that momentum over to their game against Montgomery.
Rancho Cotate looks to continue their roll through the NBL when they host Santa Rosa. Just two more matches before a potential NBL Title game on November 4 with Cardinal Newman.
Sonoma County League
Jack Newman’s record breaking season will continue on Friday as the Tigers host Healdsburg. Healdsburg is on the heels of a 53-0 loss to Petaluma. Things aren’t looking easier this week.
Piner heads to Sonoma to take on the Dragons. Piner looks to get a final couple wins as they sit just out of the playoff race in D3
Petaluma hosts El Molino Friday night. For Petaluma, this could be a make or break game for them. QB Justin Wolbert is coming off of a great game, scoring 4 TDs. Their defense is also looking for their 4th straight shutout.
