The weekly honors page will be posted tomorrow.
No. 1 Cardinal Newman (5-2) (Last Week No. 1)…Did all the scoring in the first half in a game that was over by halftime. During the current four game winning streak, they have had at least a 21 point lead in each game. The next two weeks they meet teams with a combined record of 3-11.

Newman QB Jordan Brookshire (10) ran for over 100 yards and passed for over 100 yards in the first half in the win over Casa Grande

No. 2 Analy (7-0) (No. 2)…Played their typical SCL game with starters in for a half in a one sided win. The next two weeks, they meet teams with a combined record of 1-12. After that comes the SCL title game with Petaluma.
No. 3 St. Helena (7-0) (No. 4)…Offense has taken a half to get going in the last two wins. No worries with a defense that has been rock solid with two straight shutouts. Has a home game with Clear Lake before Fort Bragg comes to town.
No. 4 Fort Bragg (7-0) (No. 5)…This offense continues to roll. They have hit the 50 point mark in three of the last four games. They have scored at least twenty points in every game. Analy is the only other area 11 man team who can say that.
No. 5 Windsor (5-2) (No. 7)…Has won three of four and the one they lost was a missed two point try late against Casa Grande. Outside one disaster game against Miramonte (7-0), they have been one of the best teams in the area. Head to head win over Petaluma gets them here ,and yes a fan that made that comment on last week’s rankings did hit home.
No. 6 Petaluma (6-2) (No. 6)…They are not going through the SCL as dominant as Analy, but they are in that neighborhood. They have actually dominated more than the SCL. Five of the six game winning streak has been won by two touchdowns or more. They are one game away from the SCL championship game.
Despite a hand injury in last week’s game Rancho star Chris Taylor- Yamanoha (6) is expected to play this week.

No. 7 Maria Carrillo (4-3) (No. 8)…Since the forgettable game against Cardinal Newman, they have won two straight, including the big win over Rancho Cotate. Except for the Cardinal Newman game and the second half against Benicia (5-2), they are having a very good season.
No. 8 Rancho Cotate (4-3) (No. 3)…Something doesn’t seem quite right about having them so low. A two game losing streak is not normal for them. It is the first time since the first two games of last season. Things don’t get easier with Windsor coming to town.
No. 9 Cloverdale (6-1) (NR)…Since the loss to St. Helena they have a three game winning streak with all the wins by at least two touchdowns. They have a win over Berean Christian, the No. 1 team, power ranking wise in Division 5. Eagles must avoid looking forward to regular season finale against Fort Bragg.
No. 10 Piner (4-4) (NR)…They have already gone through Analy and Petaluma and just missed beating Petaluma. They get to enjoy a bye week with its first appearance in the Top Ten. They finish with Healdsburg and El Molino.
The numbers after the rankings are what division in the North Coast Section they are in and where they are in the power rankings in that division.
